Hi All,

Well, I know that it has been quite a while since I posted anything.  I have been pretty busy of late, and just have not had a chance to post the pictures.
Because there are so many pictures since the last time, I have decided to post the pictures all directly to my gallery.  If you would like to see what I have been up to, please do go have a look at the gallery.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Until next time, have fun

Hi All,

So today I have a few cakes to show that I have done over the past few weeks.
Here is the first.

This was done for my daughters birthday, for her school friends,

Just one of the cupcakes for her birthday at school.

I was lucky enough to have these figurines sent to me from my sister in Canada (We can't get them here in SA).  The cake was decorated as I went, as I was a little under the weather at the time, and just had no energy to make it big and fancy.

This was a quick picture cake for a 40th.

Sugar Cookies!  Dora came out cute.

This little lady just could not make up her mind what she wanted, so I designed a 3 tiered 3 themed cake for her.   It came out perfect!

Cupcakes to go with the cake.

This was an late order.  The lady had been notified by her normal baker that she was not able to make the cake, I was given a couple of days to come up with the cake.

Loved doing this one. Based on a design by another baker.  Such a pretty Barbie cake.

And cupcakes to go with Barbie.

This was a cake based on the theme "The Great Gatsby"  Had a lot of fun doing this, came out so nicely.

Until next time. Have Fun

Hi All,

Just a few pictures of cakes that I have done recently.  Hope you enjoy.

I received a mail from my clients husband asking me to make his wife a surprise Birthday Cake for her 30th.  I love keeping secrets!  Lol.  This was fun, and loved doing the shoes (Using a Shoe Box Kit).  And the cake is inside the Shoe Box.

Made these cutsey cupcakes for a Bake Sale.  Used some new sprinkles I found, nice change from glitter.

I was so excited when I was asked to do a cake like this (Chocolate Cake with Caramel Spread and Chocolate Buttercream, surrounded by Dark Chocolate Kit Kats & topped with Smarties).  Love it!  Although no more Kit Kats for me for a while.  Lol.

So untill next time
Have fun

Sunday 6 October 2013

Hi All,

So this is what I have been up to the last couple weeks.

I did some more Sugar Cookies.  This time they were Horses on Sticks for a Farm Party.  40 of them!  And it took 12 hours to Ice them!  But they were done, and the client was very happy with them.

Last week I made this beautiful Cinderella Cake.  Mice & All! The original design is not mine, but was copied from a picture the client sent me that she found on the internet.  It pays to buy a little more expensive doll, as it just makes the cake look that much more professional.

This was a very special Surprise birthday cake ordered by my clients husband.  She had no idea, and I totally loved doing the cake.  The hearts all have a very special personal meaning to them.

This past weekend I got to do this beautiful Baptism Cake.  The cake was ordered by the little ones Grandmother, and was a surprise for her Daughter.  Must be one of my favorite cakes.  Loved doing it.

This was a cake I copied from another cake that I had done about a year ago.  Except this one had 4 smurfs.  Lots of practise later, my Smurfs are starting to look a lot better.  Really enjoyed doing this style again where the Trees "Wrap" on the cake.  The client was very happy.  Which makes me very happy.

So, until next time

Well, the last couple of weeks have been very very busy that I just have not had a chance to update the blog.  So I am not going to get too much into typing away, and show you what I have been up to.
There are of course more of the pictures in my Gallery.

Thomas was in fact a large Fondant Figurine (approx:  15cm long).

This went with the 3 Tiered Baptism cake.

And finally!  And Edible Picture Teletubbies cake.

Monday 26 August 2013

Hi All,

So I have been collecting a few cake pictures.  Today I have quite a few to show.

First off:  A couple of weeks ago I got to make a specially design "Carnival Cake" for a young girl turning 8

Then on the same day, I got to make a "Monster Cake" for a young boy who also turned 8.  This one, the client gave me the picture she had found, and I replicated the design into a cake for her son.

This past weekend was pretty busy.  I got to make a very special Dora & Friends Cake with Cupcakes.  Each cupcake had a 3D figurine on it.  I also got to make the Tiered Stand that the cake & cupcakes went onto, and it came out perfect!

The next day was Baby Shower day!.  This one was not your traditional little baby on top of a cake.  The whole Baby Shower theme was Aeroplanes, so of course I wanted to incorporate the cake into the theme.
I also got to make the Aeroplane Sugar Cookies.

And the day after!  I worked till Midnight to get this cake & cupcakes ready.  Spiderman!  Such fun, getting to do a boys cake for a change.

If you would like to see more pictures.  Please go to the gallery.

So until next time
Have Fun!

Monday 12 August 2013

Good Morning All,

So I have a few cakes to show today.

First off was a Ben 10 Picture cake.  This cake travelled all the way to Graaff Reniet in the Western Cape.

Next up was a Wedding Cake.  This was a special design I did for the client.  The Green Fleur de Lis means:  Hope, Joy & Loyalty in Love.

And lastly, I got to do a Butterfly/Flower Cake.  The original design is not mine, however, I am not sure who's it is.

So, untill next week again.
Have Fun

Wednesday 24 July 2013

Hi All,

Haven't updated my page for a while, so here are a few cakes that I have done over the past few weeks.

This was a Princess Pirate Cake I did.  The party was held on the Jolly Roger.  A "Pirate Ship" anchored in V&A Cape Town Waterfront.

This was actually a "half size" picture cake.  You can't see it from the picture, but the size was just over an A5 size.  It feed approximately 10 people!

Then we had my new nemesis.  Lol!.  Buzz broke a few times, I had to "operate" on his legs and his arm, but he finally came right, and was able to sit on top of his cake (With the help of a lot of Royal Icing!).  I ended up loving doing this cake.

I recently had this Wedding Cake & Cupcakes to do.  Turquoise & Chocolate Brown.  It actually came out lovely, and was very happy with it.

And finally.  A 50th Birthday Cake with a School Theme.  This was fun, and I totally love the Cake Topper (2nd time I have done this style).  The Swirlys on the cake took me a little over 2 hours to hand paint!.

So until next time.
Have Fun
