Good Afternoon All,

Seriously! Whoever invented Cake Pops, needs to be Jailed!
I am torn between the fact that they taste amazing, and the fact that they a pain to make!
Okay, so I can't speak for Cake Pops, but I did try my hand at some "cookie pops".  Yep, those little Bees below (YES, THEY ARE BEES!) are made with Oreo Cookies and Wiltons Candy Melts.  The Wings are Belgium Chocolate. (Serious sweet overdose!).  I kinda ate a few, and don't think I will be needing Supper in time soon.
Well they say practice makes perfect, so for my first attempt at "Bee Making" I think I did okay.  Know where my mistakes were made, and can now fix them all up nicely.

Good Evening All.

Finally!  After 3 long weeks, I can reveal the Shoe Box with Designer Shoe Cake.
The cake was Red Velvet with a Cream Cheese filling.  The box was made out of Fondant, each section hardened for about a week, and than painstakingly measured and put together with fingers crossed!  I did break one section, but luckily I had made an extra piece, so used the extra piece instead.  The lid was Polystyrene, covered in plastic, and than in Fondant (Was easier to put the shoe on, and easy for the client to take off when she wanted to cut the cake).  The shoe was handmade (No molds in sight!) All done in Fondant and a lot of prayer.  Took almost 3 weeks to do the shoe.


So VIOLA! Hope you all like the shoe.

Good Afternoon all,

Sorry, but I have no pictures for you this week.  I have been quite busy with a 21st Birthday Cake (Which I will show all of you next week) that I have not had a chance to try out anything new this week.
Next week, when the dust has settled on the 21st Cake.  I plan to make Cookie Pops (Not the same as Cake Pops, but similar)  Can't wait to try them out and show you pictures. (That's of course if I don't eat them all before I get to take pictures. (I will definitely share the recipe if they turn out great, so watch this space).
I've been hunting for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters the last few weeks, and few! What a mission to find all of them in South Africa.  Minnie and Daisy are almost impossible to find on there own!  today I finally found Daisy.  And have had to source the correct characters from overseas. (I will try every possible avenue to please my clients).

Good Afternoon All,
Well, finally I can show you the last few stages of the shoe.  I must admit, I am NOT very happy with it, but I am busy doing another one which will eventually end up on top of a cake for a 21st, and the 2nd one is coming along much nicer.  When that one is all set up and ready, I will post pictures of the whole cake, but that's only in a couple of weeks time.
